My Current Faves #1

I’ve needed a few wardrobe upgrades for a while now but I wanted to take my time and do proper edit of what I have & need before starting the process.

Now that I’ve thoroughly done an edit and created a list of what I need, the real fun can start!

Over the next few weeks (or months) I’ll be sharing my new additions with you guys. Sometimes it takes a really long time to find the perfect piece, but I’m in this for the long haul. I would much rather have something that fits well, that I will wear often rather than a short term fix that just hangs in my closet gathering dust. I’m about quality over quantity for myself and clients. And by quality I mean loving the small number of things I own, rather than having lots of things I kind of like.

1. Khaki Bomber Jacket

It’s been so hard for me to put down this khaki jacket. I’ve already worn it three times over the past week! I’m going to have to really exercise some self control to not reach for it everyday. My favorite way of wearing it so far has been with this midi length knit dress. It felt work and lifestyle appropriate. I tried on both the regular and petite version in the same size and ultimately went for the petite. I wanted it to be slightly baggy but not so baggy that it over powers my slim frame. Topshop still have a few left here

2. Cozy Knitwear

The weather finally started to cool off this weekend, it doesn’t get very cold here in California or stay cold for long so I only keep a small number of sweaters. Mostly for when I travel. This monochrome sweater caught my eye the moment I saw it. The design is unique and I love that it combines the two colors I wear the most. It’s also great for elevating basics and making them feel a little more dressy. You can shop my turtleneck sweater here and my black over the knee boots here.

3.Glam Lace Up Flats

It took a while but I finally tracked down these Loeffler Randall lace up flats, they’re pretty much always sold out. But the good news is they restock often so the trick is to keep checking in and stay patient. My wardrobe has been missing a dressy pair of  flats for quite some time. The cheetah print goes with pretty much everything I own and if you’re wondering how to style it, my advice is to treat it as a neutral. They also come black and blush which were my back up choices.  You can check them out here.

I’d love to know how you guys go about adding new items to your wardrobe and of course what you’ll be adding for autumn/winter in the comment box below.
